EMU vs UGGS - and some Qs - UPDATE...GOT THE EMU!

Are they really similar? Is UGGS "much" better?

I saw a pair of EMU (the short!) for $70 and wonder if it was a good deal or not.

Also. I am confused on how it's supposed to fit. I know... that's a dumb Q. But I tried 1 size and my foot was moving inside. Then I tried the next size down and I could see my toe "pocking" a bit through the front when I walked with the smaller pair. The other pair is just so much bigger.

I got the Emu. I could not pass them up. They were an additional 30% off at DSW. I got them for $46

I swear by Uggs although I have heard good things about EMU's as well. I personally have never worn those but IMO, if they are real shearling and suede, there probably isnt much of a difference. I buy classic Uggs every year and practically live in them whenever I can. It's worth the money for me because I do get so much use out of them.

As for the sizing - they run big and they are only whole sizes. I normally wear anywhere from a 6 1/2 to 7 1/2 depending on the shoe, but in Uggs I am a 6. I once bought a 7 b/c I thought the 6 were a bit snug and now I trip in those whenever I wear them
