Has anyone been to Lake Como?
DH and I are starting to talk about going to Italy and possibly incorporating Lake Como into our trip.
I'm wondering if anyone has ever been there - I would love to hear about it!

Yes I have and its BEAUTIFUL!!!!
I remember swimming in the lake...in August and it was freezing!!  but the water was so clean and crisp

I have not, but I've been to its neighbor, Lake Maggiore, and it was amazing. It was part of a tour we took and I wasn't even really looking forward to it but I was so pleasantly surprised. It was actually one of my favorite parts of the trip. We also took an excursion over the border to Lake Lugano in Switzerland - also beautiful.

We went there for part of our honeymoon and it was absolutely stunning. We stayed at the Villa d'Este which was great. I loved Bellagio and Como the best but all of the towns around the lake are beautiful.
