Celebrity cruisers

Did you find that the extra expenses (like alcohol, spa treatments, excursions, etc.) were more expensive on Celebrity than they were on other cruise lines?

Hmmm not that I remembered - they have the usual drink of the day etc. Shore excursions you can check out prices on their website. Honestly none of that stuff is cheap on a cruise.

Re: Celebrity cruisers

I have been on quite a few cruises (7 or 8) and the onboard prices are all pretty much the same.

One thing I would caution you about with Celebrity is that the crowd tends to be older. Think 60+ because it is a higher end cruiseline. I much prefer Royal Caribbean, as there are people in their 30s and the clubs/bars are more fun.

Really, I went a few years ago and had a blast. We did not have any problems with an older crowd. We had a great time and at night the club was filled with people our age. We were on a 21 and older ship though. so maybe that was the difference. But out of all the cruises I have been on their food was the best!! Royal caribbean is my second favorite!!Chat Icon

I think a lot of this statement depends on which ship and itinerary you choose. I'm captains club elite (gone on about 12-13 celebrity cruises) and I have never felt that the crowd was 60+. It is an older crowd but there were always plenty of 20's, 30's, and 40's on our cruise.
