Painting Question regarding Money
How much has it cost any of you to have your house (inside) painted. We are having our Foyer, Living Room, Dining Room, Hallway and Bedroom done and the guy is asking $2,500.
I know he's very reputable and he is also family, so it's not that I think he's ripping us off but that just was like  
Reallly, is this a lot? I know he will do a FANTASTIC job but I was thinking it would be more like $1,000???? or maybe I am just a naive first time home-owner

That sounds about right--is he doing 2 coats and ceilings? Ours would have been more than that (3 bedrooms) for the whole house, so we are in the process of doing it ourselves. I won't lie; it's hard, but to me saving that $$$ is worth it!

I think we spent around $6k for almost our whole house - almost 2,000 sq feet and high ceilings in some areas. I would say $2,500 is a good quote.

We had a friend of the family do all our rooms when we moved in and that's how much it cost.

OK..yes, i'm sure he's doing two coats (but i'll ask just to be sure) and ceiling. I've seen his work and I know he'll cover every corner and fix every bump...just was shocked at the price. I'm still a little  about it lol but I guess i'll suck it up??
