Is the dr going to say something about Gia's weight?
She just hit 9 weeks and she weighs 13 lbs, she is going to see him friday, the last visit he said to try and hold her over with water so she can last the 3 hours between each feeding, she was 5 weeks and weighed a little over 10lbs..
My other question is what is the average weight gain per month, I know that this is different for everyone because of breast or formula, growth spurts, etc... Thanks

UP to 6 months it is normally 1 oz per day. After 6 months 1/2 oz per day.

Re: Is the dr going to say something about Gia's weight?
I just looked back at Logan's calendar and at 6 weeks he was 13.2 and at 11 weeks he was 14.14. He was born at 8.5, so you can see the bulk of his weight gain was in the beginning, then he started to grow in length too so that he was more proportionate. SO maybe your daughter is weighing more, but also is longer in length. Did your dr. ever give you the %tiles? For example, Logan was 90th percentile in height AND weight. My dr. also recommended water, but he HATES it.

my daughter weighed 9 lbs 13 oz at birth and when we went for the 2 month checkup she weighed 12lbs 3 oz they didnt say anything about giving water. I wouldnt worry but wonder why your doctor doesnt want her to eat when she is hungry?

I wouldn't worry. Every infant is different and gains differently. My daughter was always at the top of the weight chart (90 % ish) and her Dr said it's not really a concern until the late toddler years. Try not to worry. Some babies just need to eat, a lot!
