this doesn't sound right to me? what do you think?
My MIL is one of those people who wants all of the results but without making any of the effort - on WW for two days, off for one, goes to the gym but does the treadmill for 10 minutes, the elliptical for 5 and is done, you get the idea. she is a constant complainer. she has seen my progress and i've tried really hard to help her but she doesn't want to listen, she's just on and off again. she is 4'11 and a bit chunky, but i wouldn't say terribly overweight. so i saw her on sunday and she says she completed her first week on weight watchers, i said great job! she told me that in her first week she lost 5.5 pounds. for someone her size, i find that impossible and think she's lying, what do you think??

it could be possible...but even moreso if she had a big meal before her first weigh in - that would be my thought.

If she had really bad habits before, maybe she shocked her body and did lose the weight. Once she makes a routine, her progress will be slower and steady.
In any case, I hope it's the start of something good for her!

Its def. possible.. First the first two weeks or so you lose all your water weight..
If she says she is losing 5.5 lbs every week ehhh not sure if i would believe that lol

It's possible. The first week is usually your highest loss due to water weight.

its possible! but keep in mind that, that is too quick..Most your supposed to lose is 2 lbs a week..any more and she risks a short term reward..the weight may just come right back on..
