Does this weather mess with water weight?
On Friday I was my normal weight. The past weekend I ate okay, not great. But not horrible. I didn't drink much water though. Yesterday I counted out my calories and drank plenty of water. But I weighed myself today and the scale said I gained 4.5 lbs! How can that be? The only thing I can think of is that this heat and humidity is messing with my weight by having me retain water.
Has anyone else experienced this? I really don't think I ate badly enough to gain 4.5 lbs.

I think so. The opposite has happened to me before- I lost 6lbs of water weight in one day because I was working really hard on a hot and humid day.

The scale is a tricky. If heat is a cause of weight gain/loss lets see what happens today.. its going to be 80 degrees!!

Yeah! Your weight can fluctuate a few pounds due to water weight. That's why it recommended to weigh yourself once a week and in the morning.

Did you weigh yourself at the same time of day? I can weigh myself at 10 PM and again 12 hours later at 10 AM I'll be 3 or 4 pounds lighter (where does that weight GO??? Do you sweat it out in your sleep or what?).
Also, that "time of the month" has me gain at least 3 pounds of water weight.
