There is the lighthouse.
I love to stay at the Panoramic Resort- it is right next to Gurneys and very relaxing with a terrific beach.

Re: Monaulk getaway
Just did a day pass at Gurneys a few weekends ago. For $30 we were allowed unlimited access to the gym, the pool, the sauna, steam room, roman bath. It was VERY relaxing. The only thing is I was only with DH for the gym and the pool. All the other areas that we did were women seperate from men. We went with another couple, so it wasn't boring, otherwise it would have been.
You can do massages, manis/pedis, all sorts of spa things.

Re: Monaulk getaway
IDK what weekend, hopefully something in a month or so. I never get to spend any quality time with my mom, so I thought of this, which would not take me too far from home. I plan on bringing the baby with me. We like to gamble, we like the beach, not tooo swift on the antiques....

Re: Monaulk getaway
Check out Gurney's Inn or Montauk Manor.
The Spa at Gurney's is great whether you stay there or not. I would get a few treatments there like a hot stone massage and a facial.
Check out the Harvest for dinner (fantastic) or East by Northeast or something like that lol -- both restaurants are great. You can go horseback riding, see the lighthouse, go hiking, shopping in the Hamptons, etc. There's lots to do and the restaurants are great. If you want Italian - try Manucci's which is YUM.

Sorry to be so ignorant , but does the horseback riding go throught the hotel? Is there a hotel "centrally located" to alll of these activiteies? Is there any gambeling?

Unfortunately, most of these above ideas, I would do without the baby.

ITA. Shopping & the lighthouse would work with a baby ... but not the rest IMHO.

Well, Gurney's is in the middle of everything. Montauk Manor is a little further down the road and to the left so it is a little bit more out of the way but not by much. I apologize - I must have skipped the part about the baby... hmm, I don't know how you would do the spa treatments and horseback riding with the baby.
The horseback riding is at a ranch right in Montauk. I went there once with DH - it was really nice. The hotel you decide to stay at will definitely have a brochure and contact information for the ranch - it is the only one in the area like it. There's definitely no gambling that I know of. I have never seen that out there... they have mini golf if that helps!
GL!

Re: Monaulk getaway
I love the Montauk Yacht Club. It's on the harbor but not the beach. They have a pool which might be good if you bring the little one. We loved it there. It was close to Gossmans Dock which is a great place to walk around, shop and eat
