What does a la carte mean for those who have been to Excellence Resorts?

What does a la carte mean for those who have been to Excellence Resorts?
I read that on the web site tonight and I'm curious what it means.
The web site states:
Full breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks each day
8 à la carte dining options
1 buffet restaurant for breakfast & lunch and 1 a la carte restaurant for lunch
I thought all inclusive meant food and drinks included....

it means that it's an a la carte menu, not a buffet - your item is cooked to order like a real restaurant. it's still all included.

It just basically means it is a menu restaurant rather than a buffet so you would order off of a menu.

Thanks for the clarification - I thought a la carte meant you pay extra for the certain items, and it had me
