"This FINISHED product not tested on animals"
Has anyone ever noticed this on the Bath & Body Works labels? So does thast mean that the COMPONENTS of their products ARE tested on animals? I never use their products, but received a set as a gift & was just reading this. What gives?

I've noticed this as well. All of their products say the FINISHED product isn't tested, so I guess they're implying that the ingredients that make them may be tested. I'm not sure if THEY test them or other companies do, but I've often wondered about this myself.

Re: "This FINISHED product not tested on animals"
Most of the raw materials used probably are tested on animals.. not by Bath and Body Works but by the raw material manufacturers. Before they produce a finished product they will require all of the paperwork for the raw material, one of them being Tox Data. (at least at my job they do...) Link to example MSDS You will see under Tox Data the tests that have been done on animals.. this is for a common ingredient Glycerin that is found in a lot of skin care products.
