Newborn and Dirahhea
The past two days Julia has been having dirahhea - almost every diaper is a poopy one - i feel so bad for her.
We took her to the doctor yesterday and she said everything looked fine and of course we changed the diaper at the doctors office and it was a wet one - but all the rest of them have been dirty.
The doctor mentioned we give her 1 oz Pedilyte after her meal - so i decreased her formula a bit so that she will drink the Pedilyte.
She's had about 4 ozs since yesterday (not all at once) and she still has dirahhea.
What else can i do?
TIA

I don't think the pedialyte will stop the diarrhea, it will keep baby from getting dehydrated. I would make sure she keeps getting it.

Re: Newborn and Dirahhea
how newborn? My girls both had poopie diapers almost everytime until they were about 5 weeks old. They were breast fed, so it was liquidy-yellow-seedy looking. They especially pooped right after every feeding.
