Re: Bottles

For me, it was trial and error.
I found that DD didn't like ones with bigger nipples like Avent. We use the Dr. Browns ones and she did the best with those.

Re: Bottles

Same here, trial and error. I first tried the Dr. Browns, but the nipple was too big for him (even the smallest size and he was choking on the formula). I switched to Avent and it has worked wonders. I will try Dr. Browns again when he gets a little older because I heard it is great for gas.

Re: Bottles

I bought the Playtex Nurser gift set and the Dr Browns gift set - do you think this is good enough until we figure out which the baby will like better?

I use Dr. Browns cause i heard it reduces colic, gas, spit up... and with Jacob's gas issues they seem to work well for him! Chat Icon

Re: Bottles

we started with the playtex nursers but switched to dr. browns because i heard they were the best for gas/spit up -- however emily HATED them and actually spit up a lot more when we used them, so it was back to the playtex for us!!

That should be fine! Chat Icon The way I figure is, they won't go bad if baby doesn't like them this time around. You can always use them on baby #2, #3 or sell 'em! Chat Icon

Re: Bottles

We started and stuck with Dr. Browns because all of our friends told us to.
We never tried any others.
