things to do in VA & NC

going to VA and NC soon and wanted to know somethings to do.

In VA we are going to go to Busch gardens. were not interested in the colonial Williamsburg though. We will be in the Richmond area

In NC we will be about 45 miles outside Charlotte to the east (Fayetteville area)

Any suggestions??

in NC we loved climbing Chimney Rock. very fun! the lake over there is where they filmed dirty dancing too. in asheville area there is large mansion (cant remember the name) with gorgeous grounds that is a beatiful day trip.

we stayed with friends in the tryon area which is actually closer to spartanburg sc than asheville, but still only about an hour drive.


eta: i remember the name now (i think) its the Biltmore Estate)
