i have all of his albums and have been a big fan for a while. the studio record "youth" is very good. i like king without a crown better though on the live album.

DH found this quite a long time ago, and got such a kick out of it that he downloaded all of his songs. This was before he became really big and got radio play!
It just cracks me up!

i saw him live in brooklyn at a bar - he opened for Ithaca's: Sim Redmond Band (who I love), and i thought he was really good!

one of my friends at work has been talking about him for a while -- i think it is so cool. she said watching the video is kind of wild because he is hasidic and so you don't expect him to be dressed that way and then making the music he makes -- but his religion is part of the music and she really really likes it.

I interviewed him back in December when he was "breaking" out...he doesn't shake women's hands because of his "religious beliefs" so that was really weird for me (but at least I was warned, my boss wasn't at a previous event and was TOTALLY left hangin').
But his live show was incredible...you had very orthodox jewish people standing next to rastas and he had them eatin' out of his hand...not my style of music, but I enjoyed the show.
