headache after running?
why? i just finished running 4 miles and I have a splitting headache! what gives?

could be a few reasons.
1. not breathing correctly
2. bad form
3. your hitting the pavement or whatever to hard.

Are you drinking enough water beforhand? Could be dehydration...that happens to me after a hard workout if I dont hydrate enough.

i get headaches sometimes from not having enough salt. usually it happens in the summer on longer runs. i usually eat something salty like pretzels or it's really bad eat straight salt (just a little!)

This happened to me a couple of weeks ago. It took awhile for it to come on, but once it did it took hours to go away. I figured out that it probably had to do with the fact that I had too few calories after a long run and that my body was craving sugar. After eating two cookies I started to feel slightly better but I needed to rest for hours before it went away. Now I am careful to eat carbs after a long run and stay hydrated. Has not happened since.

I was having this problem every time I went to the gym or ran in the morning. Major migraines for the rest of the day. If I go later in the day it doesn't happen.
