personal training question

ok girls heres the dilemma...

i want to do personal training sessions to get my butt into gear..

i have a gym membership that i havent used in a looong time. i still pay monthly 25 a month. but to do the sessions, they charge 1075.00 for 20 hour long sessions, which includes a diet plan and a 50.00 gift certificate toward future sessions or packages , etc.

theres also a place by my house , PTI, that charges 275 a month for 2 times a week and 386 a month for 3 times a week ; includes a nutritionist also, but 30 minute sessions..

eta: they said they'd give me 10% off also..

which do u think is worth it more?

Re: personal training question

I would go with the trainer at your gym.

PTI creates standardized workouts for their trainers to give their clients. They hire people and make them trainers by telling them what to do, whereas the trainers at your gym are probably educated or at the very least certified, but I would ask to make sure. And at the gym they can - and should - get you off the circuit type machines, which you can easily do on your own.

Also, 1075 for 20 sessions plus nutritional counseling is actually a really good price. You can probably try to negotiate for a free session or 2 to try out the trainer.

All that being said, I haven't actually trained at PTI, but I work in the industry and they don't have the best reputation, but that doesn't mean it's not right for anyone.
