Did they SERIOUSLY ban the twice fried cherry pie? I mean, for real or is that a joke on the site?

Re: Chip Shop in Brooklyn
Okay, let me try to explain.
Fish & Chip shops in Scotland are famous for battering and deep frying anything and everything they can, so for instance, one can get a deep fried pizza for a small price. They also do a lovely range of deep friend chocolate bars, and I believe this chippy in Brooklyn is trying to emulate a British Chippy
mmmmmm....

um...what?
I understand that they deep fry any and everything - but I don't understand BANNING certain things from their menu.

I don't think it is.
they used to sell them, but I think the double frying made the fat content a NO NO with the NYC board of health
db, I will report that we recently got take aways, and the bomb was unimpressed.
as racheee said, he was comparing to the plates of fish and chips he's had in the jolly ol' and also past servings from the Brooklyn Chip Shop and it wasn't up to snuff, especially for the price.
so, while I will gladly go back there with you how's....I don't think we shall be ordering from them any time soon, or again.
it's fine though...i like my cherry pie fresh

I read that the cherry pies were imported from England- where they are fried the 1st time in trans fats. It actually wasn't the 2nd frying at the Chip Shop, but the 1st one.
