has your dog ever done this?
we've been noticing that for the past few hours, hershey looks like hes chewing on something... almost like he has something stuck in his mouth - but when we pry open his mouth, nothing is in it
we think it may be a tooth growing in or maybe he has a cut in his mouth
anyone know what could be wrong?
TIA

Re: has your dog ever done this?
how old is the dog? If under a year, it could def. be a new tooth, or a lost/broken tooth they haven't swallowed.
That happened a few times with Daisy - she would spit it out and then pick it up and chew on it again until we saw what she was up to and took it away.
If older than a year - maybe take away a toy that had sharp ends - maybe it is a cut, offer the dog some ice to help with the soothing.
If it continues until Monday - call your vet!

More than likely, he's teething. Make sure you have plenty of teething/chew toys for him to use - it will help sooth them. Daisy loved the nylabones and ice cubes!

Our dog on many occasions gets a piece of her food or treat stuck in her jowls (sp) - it gets stuck in between her teeth and her gums, but all the way in the back of her mouth.
