i was JUST inquiring about this over the weekend! there are SO many options to heal dry skn for dogs... go to petco and look by the skin care section. i bought Salmon Oil Omega-3 from petco... its like an oily pump that you pump into their food once a day
they also have pills you can give your dog which i will probably do if Hersheys dry skin doesnt improve with just the salmon oil
FM greenfreak.... her dog is BEAUTIFUL and she cured his dry skin!!

Re: dry skin
Oatmeal baths are great and so is lanolin spray (also called grooming spray).
We spritz our guy every few days with the lanolin and then he's super soft/shiny!

Re: dry skin
thanks for the advice everyone. I called the vet for specific brand recommendations and they had the capsules you mentioned and also a shampoo to use for dry skin. Thanks again, I appreciate it.

Re: dry skin
Jess everyone few days put some olive oil in his food. It helps the dry skin from the inside out.

Re: dry skin
I had this with my dog. My vet said that adding the oils to there food is good. He said to limit the amount of times that he gets a bath and when he is done not to dry them with any dryers just towels and I have a spray that I spray and brush in and all of this seems to help. I have also head that a egg on there food helps.

Re: dry skin
minnie has the same problem. we got something called "Derm Caps" from the vet, it is a liquid that you add to their food, supposed to promote healthy skin and coat!
