Anyone ever do a trip of this nature? DH and I are starting to plan our next Europe trip and this is where we would like to go. I've been to Germany but I would love info on the other 2 countries. We would love to see Prague and Salzburg.

DH lived in the Czech Republic for a year. He taught English as a 2nd language at a Catholic school. he LOVED it there. one of his favorite cities in Europe is Prague.

he's also been to Austria and said it was almost TOO nice, and that he would challenge anyone to find a dented car there. the Gov't pays people to get their cars fixed, b/c it's an eye sore (when he was there in the 90's, not sure if they still do that).

he said you can't go wrong with this trip.

ITA! SAlzburg and Vienna were just magical at Christmas and New Year's. Budapest is also amazing and not far at all from Vienna.

I think that sounds amazing. One of my favorite European city threesomes I've done is Prague/Budapest/Krakow. I love that part of the world!

Re: Germany/Austria/Czech Republic

OMG we just got back from a trip to these three countries. We stayed in Munich and Prague. We spent dtwo days in Austria, but in a small village that I would highly recommend. We plan to go back during warmer months.

Prague was unbelievably beautiful! We drove through Germany and Austria and the experience was great! We had a great time - you will love it.
