I'm so Po'd and feel stupid
Today was CD 36 and I still hadn't gotten AF. I was getting BFNs but I wanted to still go for a beta to see what was going on. I thought maybe there was still a chance - my bbs were on fire and I had so many tingles, pulls, twinges, etc. and gas - and every time I went to the bathroom and didn't see AF, I thought maybe this is finally time. Well, I just went to the bathroom again and there was AF - I don't even need to wait for that horrible phone call that is coming. I just feel like an idiot for thinking it was gonna happen so easily (we were on a break from drs.) and I'm just mad. I know I'll pull myself together and get ready to start another iui cycle but right now it just stinks. The thought of going back on clomid, I really hate it. Has anyone done iui's w/o clomid? I ovulate on my own and am wondering if I should talk to the RE about a non-medicated iui cycle? Thanks for reading this - I know its long.

Don't feel stupid....we'll all been there. I'm sorry that AF arrived. I know that right now the thought of starting another IUI cycle is horrible, but you'll feel a little better tomorrow and hopefully even a little better than that on Friday when u have to go back for day 3 blood and sono.
I personally haven't done IUI w/out medication, but hopefully someone else on here can give you a better answer.

Re: I'm so Po'd and feel stupid
Thanks. i Know it will pass - its just the thought of gathering my strength again. And DH just came home and he still doesn't get it all. I know he wants a baby as badly, but he doesn't get my emotions and he still, even after 3 iuis and the time that has passed, doesn't want to be going to doctors - its frustrating.

Re: I'm so Po'd and feel stupid
I am sorry to hear that things didn't work out after waiting so long and hoping!
I did unmedicated IUI's... My dr. made me go through two unmedicated IUI's before going through medicated cycles... (I did 3 on clomid). No harm discussing this option with your dr. and then deciding how you want to go forward once you hear his/her opinion.
Lots of GL!!

Re: I'm so Po'd and feel stupid
I would defintely talk to the Dr. about unmedicated or injectable IUI's as opposed to Clomid. Clomid is not really a good thing to use for more than three cycles...and if you haven't gotten PG yet, it's probably not working for you anyway. Sorry about AF and good luck to you...
