So now that I'm down to my pre-holiday weight...

What can I do to ensure I get over this next weight-loss hump? I have not been below 140 in years, and I want to finally finish my weight loss. I have 20 lbs to go. It's always so hard for me to get below my current weight. I really think I'm eating pretty well. 1400 calories a day (or I try to stay in that range), and I try to go to the gym a couple of times a week. Should I bump up the gym? Or should I lower my calorie intake?

Any advice? I really want to be successful this time. I'm sick of still having weight to lose. I want to be done with it finally.

1400 calories sounds good to me but you can probably bring it down a bit lower (but no less tan 1200). Two days a week at the gym doesn't sound like enough to lose weight. I would definitely up it to 4-5 days per week and bring up the intensity. Good luck!

Yeah, I kind of knew I would need to increase the gym. I just hate working out. That's not true. I love it, but only after I get there. Chat Icon But with only 20 lbs to go, it's going to get harder and harder to lose the weight. So I'm going to need to work out.

Sounds like your body hit a plateau - which means you need a change in your workout - I'll bet you will lose another 10 lbs at least by going to the gym a few more days a week without even decreasing your calorie intake. Chat Icon

I always find a motivator is good for me. When I get down to a 5 on the scale...new shoes...when I get down to a 0...a new outfit.

Congratulations on your weight loss!! Chat Icon Chat Icon YOOO HOO.
To loose 2lbs a week you would need to eat 500 calories less a day or burn 500 calories daily. 250 calories daily for 1 lb a week.
Good Luk!!Chat Icon
