You can take the kids to Plimouth Planation, it's a historical reenactment. You can check out the Mayflower. And there is the Ocean Spray Cranberry Museum with cranberry bog.

I did this as a kid and I am DYING to go back.
it's so much fun and so cool.
I don't think it's that far from Boston. I went with a school trip, and we stayed in Boston and drove to PP in our bus.
have a GREAT time!
