Cruise Planning?

My hubby and I are trying to figure out summer plans... taking our honeymoon cruise is a possibility, depending on price. Or we;d go to WDW and take the cruise next year instead. What is a good place to look at cruise pricing? We already know we want a Caribbean (eastern, i think) on Royal Caribbean. Is there some way to get pricing plus know how much the excursions, etc. would be? Are there still good deals for a July/Aug cruise?

Re: Cruise Planning?

We just got a really good price using Carnival's Early Saver for the end of August. However, you can only get the early saver rates up until 5 months before the sailing date, so we just got in under the wire. There are still other good deals though.

I did a lot of research on cruisecritic.com, and I'm currently addicted to the chat boards there.

vacationstogo.com has some good deals, and I also priced on kayak.com, and cruises.com.

I went to the individual cruise companies sites (carnival, royal caribbean, etc.), and browsed the various cruise prices, excursions, etc.

I am SO excited for our cruise right now. The next 5 months are going to go soooo slowly!

Re: Cruise Planning?

July/August is a great time for cruising because it's not peak season since it's summer up here. WDW is going to be packed though. We did to RC cruises and one was the eastern caribbean. Loved them both. The eastern cruise left from Puerto Rico then went on to St. Thomas, Antigua, St. Maarten, St. Lucia and Barbados.

Re: Cruise Planning?

I just got back from a Caribbean cruise on Royal Caribbean. We book all our cruises through Cruise One, they should be able to give you some pricing.

All Excursions are priced differently. I have found that they can range from $20pp to $150pp depending what type.

Re: Cruise Planning?

I always check out cruisecompete.com for some quotes - but have always booked thru bestpricecruises.com My parents take about 3-4 cruises a year and use them too - but I personally have used them for about 4 cruises. I always shop around but they get me the best prices. I DO call them and book over the phone and not online - it is a few dollars more but I prefer to speak with someone.
