Childless Families
Do you post on that board?
I'm sort of confused by it.

Re: Childless Families
I am not a fan of the name. I won't even look on that board. We are a family without a child as of right now...not a childless family. I just think there is a nicer way to put it. JMO.

Re: Childless Families
Yes I do.
Although I agree maybe the title of the board can be misinterpreted, which is being done.
I used to be on a crafts board where there was a section called
"No Kidding"
It was a place for scrapbookers who didn't have children to congregate and discuss their hobby. The title was very clear and no one was offended.
Maybe if it was called
"No Kidding - a board for posters without children"

I didn't even realize there was such a board, but probably won't post on there. I agree the name is open to misinterpretation.

Re: Childless Families
I post on there, even though I am PG (after a three year IF struggle). The fact is that while we are making plans, DH and I are still officially childless.
Granted, not every thread applies to me, but I check it out and post now and then.

Re: Childless Families
Unfortunately, some of the 'drama', that happened, has taken the positive attributes away from the board.
DH and I do not have children. I do not know if we will, we may continue with IF, I am not sure right now.
But we are a childless couple, have been for years.
I like being able to discuss cooking, traveling, life in general, that does not revolve around having children. Also, I like to be able to vent sometimes about the dumb azz comments I get from people about my childless status..not many people can really relate to that.
As with the other boards, if I have something to say, or feel it pertains to me, I post on the thread. If it doesn't I don't.

That is my appraoch as well. I do like and participate in the bulk of the topics so far. As for who posts there, so long as it remains on topic and they reamin respectful of what the board is all about, I really don't care. I keep out of the drama (for the most part ) but will defend people's right to post their feelings and opinions without the fear of "attack" by people NOT in their shoes. But I would do that anywhere, regardless if I agree with them or not.
