Corned Beef Spice Package

just so I dont get started up again this morning, let just say that the spice package that came with the corned beef is gone. What is in that package if i wanted to replicate it?

it's basically pickling spice. if you want to make your own use:

5 bay leaves, crushed in your hand
1 Tbs. coriander seed
1 tsp. whole black peppercorns
1 tsp. whole allspice
1 tsp whole mustard seed
2 to 4 whole cloves

you can add garlic or even red chile depending on your taste. This should be enough for 1 batch of corned beef

or pick up a container of pickling spice at the grocery store!!

I've noticed this every year! My corned beef never comes with the pickling spice, which is what you're referring to. I just have a bottle I keep with my seasonings since it's NEVER included with the corned beef despite all the recipes for corned beef saying to add the seasoning packet that comes with the meat.
