Yes, DH and I went to Hawaii in... March of 2006 (wow, it seems like just yesterday!). We flew into Hawaii and caught our NCL cruise in Oahu (we stayed one night in Oahu pre cruise).

The cruise stopped for 2 days at each of the 4 major islands - Oahu, Kauai, Big Island, Maui - then back to Oahu.

We did an excursion on each island and also enjoyed the beaches, restaurants etc. We LOVED Hawaii, and our absolute favorite was Maui. We loved being able to experience all four islands (and a fifth island, Lanai, off the coast of Maui on a day trip that was absolutely fabulous - FM me if you want info!), without having to pack and unpack to travel between islands. We got a nice taste of each island and got to go to a few of the main highlights on each island.

We now know that if we ever are able to return to Hawaii, we will stay on only one (or maybe 2) islands and experience the things we weren't able to.

We also personally preferred this cruise to the Princess ones that leave from California because those cruises have 3 or so days at sea (to get from Cali to Hawaii) - the way we did it, we got to spend all our time in Hawaii, although I'm sure the other cruises are great too!

i did not cruise but have been to oahu, maui, and kuaui...let me know if you have any questions about these islands...you are going to love it!!
