Nordstrom Shoppers- Is this true regarding returns?
So DH did the laundry this weekend. 
He happened to put a sweater of mine in the dryer that isn't supposed to go in the dryer, so now it is much smaller and won't fit me.
I was going to give it to a friend of mine whom it would fit- but she told me that Nordstroms will take it back and give me a new one- even without a reciept!
Does anyone know if this is true before I go into the store and make an @ss out of myself?

people say it's true...but I bought a very expensive shirt there a few years ago-- and when I washed it- it discolored
I didn't have the receipt- but I had my nordstrom card- they wouldn't take it back- and I never used my credit card with them again

I didn't have the receipt- but I had my nordstrom card- they wouldn't take it back- and I never used my credit card with them again
Seriously?! Wow.. that's surprising.. I have a very interesting story about Nordstroms from when I was 18.. 12 years ago Anyway.. back then.. they were taking back anything and everything!

they should take it back.
i used to work at nordstrom and during training they told us that the customer is always right, even if they're returning a car tire! lol

I was shocked myself- I really don't shop there anymore b/c of it
I went to FIT- and heard the tire story- someone returned 4 tires (used I believe) and they took them back
I think I was still in FIT at the time this happened- so it must have been 7 or 8 years ago

my sister broke a brand new bottle of chanel foundation on her floor, and brought back the pieces and they gave her a new one
She did have to fight a little though, but if a sales associate gives you a hard time, first rule is to always ask to speak to a manager
9 times out of 10 they will call the manager over the phone and tell them the situation and the manager will be to lazy to come down from their office and just tell the associate to juts give it to you

The tire story was the best PR Nordstroms ever got. They took back 4 tires when they never even sell them. The guy who returned them worked for the NYT and put a full page ad out thanking Nordstroms. This must have been prior to 1993 because I learned about it in a marketing class I took then. That was about $250,000 of free advertising for Nordstroms.
You can certainly try to return it..you can tell them that you didn't dry it..I don't know how important it is to go to that extreme.
