Can someone look at my meals today and tell me if I'm on track?
Breakfast: 1 egg and 3 turkey sausage
180 calories
Lunch: spinach salad with ham, mushroom, peas, tomatoes 1/2 cup peanuts with shells 5 strawberries 1 cheese stick
380 calories
Snack- 1 cookie (60 calories)
Dinner:
Chicken marsala, peas, sweet potato, whole wheat pita with lite butter
575 calories
Dessert- skinny cow ice cream
150 calories
total: 1345 calories. I think I'll have a 50 calorie snack later to bring the total to 1400.
Do these proportions sound right? I want to lose 27 lbs.
Thanks!

hmmm I am by no means a nutritional expert but maybe instead of the cookie as a snack have something less sugary and more filling? (maybe the peanuts then?) I think it also depends on how much weigh, and if you plan to work out.
Sparkpeople.com will give you recommendations and it's free :)

I would also suggest making your snacks for nutritious. I also think that the total calories seem a bit off for what you're eating - it seems that for the food you listed, the calories should be higher. It's not just about the calories though, sugar promotes weight gain, cut as much out as you can.

Yeah, the cookie wasn't planned. But it was 60 calories so I figured I would count it.
