Did anyone else see this?

It was a story they did on Fox 5 last night about this breeder in Queens. Apparently she is a very irresponsible breeder and has sold some really sick dogs to people for thousands of dollars. She also sold a dog for $6000 to some guy because supposedly the dog was a German-trained guard dog (which wasn't the case).

Ok, first of all - who pays this kind of money for ANY dog!??! This is why it is so important to do a lot of research when looking for a dog/breeder. Or, if you ask me, people should just adopt and get an adorable dog/puppy at their local shelter. .

Second, who would purchase anything from someone who looks like this anyway??

I saw this! I thought it was ridiculous for that guy to pay that kind of money for a dog he bought on the internet. What was he thinking. But what really scared me was, he wanted a trained attack dog and he had a baby in his house. Anyway, at the end of the story, they said he disputed the charge with his cc company and got his money back. The dog was cute though and seemed so calm and relaxed.

But seriously - get a dog from a shelter. These people paid 2-3,000 for these dogs!!!! OVER THE INTERNET!!!!

That woman was so scary looking!!!! I wonder if people buy from her once they see her of if she is all internet business!

I really cant believe what I just watched

It really bothered me that the man with the guard dog wanted it to attack .. I thought that dog was just adorable the way she was.. But I would never have paid that kind of money for her.. She hopefully is being put out of business.. What a scum bucket..

while we were searching for our pups we actually contacted this crazy lady! she looked crazy on her website but we didn't want to "judge a book by it's cover" BUT after speaking w/her on the phone we came to the conclusion that her looks matched her personality! she was annoyed w/us that we couldn't come see a dog when she wanted us too....we ruled her out immediately....she needs to be put out of business....she is only in it for the money and she didn't look-sound remourseful on the newscast...during our search, we spoke to numerous breeders and reviewed different websites regarding bulldogs and not one of the breeders that we spoke to looked or acted like she did! she needs to GO!!

There really should be more laws regarding who can breed and who can OWN animals! When you allow people like this to breed indiscriminately, they are hurting the entire breed of dog! This is why BYB's are so dangerous, it's a viscous cycle. They are in it for the money, not for bettering the breed itself or choosing male and female dogs that have advantageous health and personality traits.

Besides, to me, any breeder that breeds more than one breed of dog is highly suspect.
