Re: What to think of this house...

I don't know much about Bay Shore...but it's only a 2 bedroom house....so it seems kinda small even for a starter house.

Re: What to think of this house...

Bay Shore has good and bad areas - like most towns. I checked the map of the property and this street is actually quite a good location. It seems to be south of Sunrise and north of Union, just off of Brentwood Road. I take Brentwood all the time to Sunrise and it's quite nice. I would recommend driving around the neighborhood to get a better feel for it.

Re: What to think of this house...

I think it is adorable. But, keep in mind, I bought a 2 bdrm house, and there is just not enough room. Hence, the reason I am buying a bigger house next year.

I think its a good price in a good locations, so at least you should look at it, if your interested.

No basement, no garage and a small lot.

The house is ideal if you intend to rent it out, but not as a starter home.

I agree. I believe that they are much harder to sell.

I agree. But if you have less than $300k to spend, you won't find a house in that location.

Re: What to think of this house...

Re: the smallness of it - I wouldn't worry about that. We've been in our small house for 6 months and 2 retirees asked if we were selling anytime soon; they each want to downsize but stay on LI; one is single, the other is a couple.
