You know how sometimes lyrics just speak to you?

I was in the car driving w/ my DH and my BIL upstate to go skiing this weekend- and of all things Miley Cyrus' new song came on (the Climb). The words made me get teary... but in a positive way. I wanted to share them with you...

I hear you!

I am always so focused on lyrics and words - I actually keep a little moleskine book with me where I write down things I hear that are really meaningful to me - and then I turn to that when I feel like I need it.

I have one that's just for song lyrics and one for quotations from books that I read.

Sometimes these things just speak right to our hearts!

Yeah, it was kind of funny- my DH and BIL were laughing at me for keeping it on- but I wasn't paying attention to the song at first, I was in thought and I started to hear the words---- then I wouldn't let them turn it so I could listen to them. For the most part I thought it hit home for me, w/ the exception of the line about how it's not what's waiting on the other side--- b/c that is the whole point of this journey... but otherwise I thought it hit home.
