I just grill on a grill pan or steam mine plain - then take a little soft butter that I mix with some orange zest (you don't need to zest a lot of the orange just a little) and melt the orange butter on the asparagus. Very easy and simple to do.

Toss with olive oil, and granulated garlic. Either grill or bake at 350. When done to your preference (still firm or soft) sprinkle about a tablespoon of balsamic vinegar on and serve.

Sometime I saute them in a pan with lemon juice, butter and garlic powder.. and leave them so that they are a little crunchy

I put some olive oil on them and put in a shallow dish and put in microwave and then when they come out, I put grated fresh parmesan cheese on top.
OR
I cook them on the stove with olive oil for a few minutes then throw in some breadcrumbs and grated fresh parmesan cheese....delicious. even my kids eat them

I make pasta with asparagus and artichoke hearts in a white wine/lemon sauce that is so easy and so good...we eat it at least once a week!

I usually just roast them.
Put them on a cookie sheet, drizzle some olive oil on them, mix them up with the olive oil- then salt and pepper them.
Put them in the oven at 375 for 20 mins- and voila!
Delish!
We actually had them tonight!

I place in a shallow glass dish, drizzle EVOO, sprinkle with sea salt and sesame seeds and broil in the oven for 20-25 minutes.

Re: Aspargus Receipe--anyone have one?
i tried a recipe that looked really good once (it involved miced garlic, evoo, some salt and pepper and a skillet) but i followed the instructions exactly and they came out shrivelled, too salty for my taste, and the garlic burnt a little.
i now make my asparagus a healthier and yummier way:
i take a 9x9 pyrex, put an inch or so of water or chicken stock, lay the asaparagus down, salt & pepper if you'd like, cover TIGHTLY with plastic wrap and microwave for 6-7 minutes. this steams them and chicken broth adds flavor. they come out perfect! then you can sprinke with other spices if you'd like.
healthier too :)
