How do you eat your oatmeal?

I decided that I want to start eating oatmeal....but I have no idea how to "eat" it Some people put in brown sugar, some raisins, some cinnamin, some nothing!

So, what kind of oatmeal do you make and what do you put in it?

When I was little (and could afford the extra calories), my mom would make it with a little cream, maple syrup and butter.

Now - I usually have it with just some sliced strawberries and a pat of butter.

My kids eat it with brown sugar, cinnamon and butter.

Raisins, skim milk, splenda sometimes a little tiny bit of butter too.

i add skim milk, raisins, apples, brown sugar and groud flaxseed. oatmeal, dh and i eat at least once a week.

I make the plain kind......and just add my own cinnamon, milk and 1/2 packet of Sugar in the Raw (its a natural brown sugar) since I wanted to stop w/ the Splenda.

The other oatmeals that are flavored taste too sweet to me.

I have a little bit of butter and brown sugar. My DD loves it this way too.

I have the plain oatmeal packets at work and I eat those with nothing added.

I'm weird...I don't eat it sweet. I add milk and salt. Don't ask...that's how my mom made it and how I now eat it.

I make mine with milk, sometimes I add sweetner, but some brands are sweet naturally that you don't need to add anything

I add blueberries and maybe 5 semisweet chocolate chips. I never buy any of the instant stuff.

I like to eat it with sliced bananas, some granola for crunch and one packet of sugar in the raw.

There is a cafe near my office that makes it with vanilla or strawberry lowfat yougurt and granola...so yummmm

w/ plain I add sliced banana, a little brown sugar and milk. Yum!

I eat it plain. But I only like either the plain flavor or the raisens and spice flavor. And it can't be too soupy, I like it firm.

I buy all of the flavors. I eat it with peanut butter or brown sugar.

I like to mash a banana in it.

Out of the package. Oatmeal has a lot of carbs to begin with, so I don't add anything. I guess this is why I eat oatmeal only a handful of times a year.

I make it with milk and its got to be creamy, kind of thick. I put honey on top- yumm!

I put oatmeal (the one-minute "quick oats" type, NOT the packets) in a bowl, add water, and microwave for a minute or two. Then I stir in a packet or two of Splenda. Yum!

I guess I'm boring. I eat instant oatmeal out of the packet and add 1 packet of splenda.

I get either honey nut oatmeal or cinnamon roll and eat it as is.

It really never occurred to me to add stuff to oatmean other than milk and maybe a little sugar. This post is great!
