MIL gave us this recipe that she found somewhere.. and DH and i have made it a couple times. We made it tonight, and just thought i would post the recipe Chat Icon it really is easier than it might look.. and a great way to sneak in some veggies Chat Icon

3 tbsp butter
3 tbsp flour
4 cups chicken broth
2 cups chopped broccoli
3/4 cups chopped carrots
1/2 cup chopped celery
1 small onion chopped
1 clove garlic, chopped
1/4 tsp thyme
salt
pepper
1 cup cream ( light or heavy)
1 egg yolk
1 1/2 cups shredded Jarlsburg

1)in large sauce pan, melt butter
2)wisk in flour slowly and let cook for a few minutes
3) gradually blend in chicken broth, and bring to boil
4) add veggies/onion/garlic spices.. cover and simmer for 8 minutes under veggies are tender
5) blend in cream and egg yolk, and cook to thicken
6) slowly blend in cheese
7) serve with some crusty bread for dipping Chat Icon
