Dear Maggie...

Dear Maggie

last week you ate my flowers and you puked on the rug in our new apartment

today you ate and puked up a fake plant

but at least you puked on the floor this time

are you ever going to learn not to eat things I don't put in your bowl?

I can't imagine all this puking is fun....

love
your mom who is sick of finding puke all over the house

Re: Dear Maggie...

I had a cat that did that but it was because he had fur balls and needed to get them up.

Is Maggie your fluffy cat? Maybe she has fur balls and she eats bad stuff so she can get rid of them.

My cats eat my flowers and then get sick too. Which is why I don't get flowers as often anymore. Chat Icon

As for eating the fake plant, the only thing I wonder is, was it a new fake plant?

My cats love chewing on new plastic, especially new wires. I would imagine a plastic plant seems like a fun thing to play with for a cat. Once it gets old though, they lose interest.

Lisa could be right, she could have hairball problems. Try giving them some hairball control dry food. Maybe that will help with the vomiting.

But it sounds like normal cat behavior. She's also adjusting to a new home, so there's a lot of new stuff for her to get into.

Oh Maggie....

Re: Dear Maggie...

she is just trouble... last week she ended up behind the fridge

I heard her crying- I had to pull the fridge out from the wall- and then she wanted to go back there Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

(there is space back there- the fridge is in what used to be a closet- so she had about 3 feet by 3 feet to play in)

the plant used to be higher up and she couldn't get to it- I think now that she puked- she will go back to eating q-tips and what ever else she can find....

I though this post was for me. If it makes you feel better, I eat things I shouldn't too... unfortunately, my fat butt keeps them down. haa haa
