FET protocols
Can anyone tell me about their FET protocols?
The last one we did was a six week process -
CDs 1-16: BCP CD 14: Start 10 units Lupron, mock ET, baseline u/s CD 24: suppression check, start Estrace 2x/day and Baby aspirin 1x/day. Decrease Lurpon to 5 units/day. CD 33: lining check CD 36: Start Endometrin 2x/day CD 37: Increase Endometrin to 3x/day, start doxycycline 2x/day CD 42: Transfer
(there was another AF in there after stopping BCP... but it's just easier to look at the whole thing as 1 cycle instead of 2)
My blog has the whole protocol in case it's not clear from this post.
Can anybody give me more information on other types of protocols? How did your RE decide which was best for you?

Re: FET protocols
We just did a standard protocol...Got AF, started Estrace/Baby Aspirin on CD2 - 14, went in for sono to check lining...Transfer on CD 16 or 18 depending on lining. Start PIO day before transfer till 2 days after transfer then switch to Progesterone Supps....beta 14 days past transfer.

Okay, so that is the typical FET protocol?
Do you ovulate on your own with that?

Re: FET protocols
Sorry, I was just searching on here for FETs and I saw that a lot of people did the same protocol that you both had mentioned.
Is that because you don't typically ovulate on your own?
I'm just trying to figure out why I need the Lupron while you two didn't..

Re: FET protocols
I don't ovulate on my own- but there are 2 diff. protocols that LI-IVF offers for FETs. I did the one that I did b/c I don't ovulate on my own... but there's another one out there too. HTH.

Re: FET protocols
I also don't ovulate on your own. One person I know did an FET @ the same clinic and she ovulates normally. They just had her start coming in on CD13 and checked her blood/lining. Once she ovulated, they did the transfer right after...starting her on the PIO the day before transfer and continuing with the progesterone supps. She took no meds the first half of her cycle....
