Another insurance question

Hello ladies..I am praying for you all.
I was hoping that you could help me with a bill I received from RS of NY this week.
I was there in November and saw Dr. Trivax . They also they gave me all the info about what Oxford would cover for infertility. I only had too see his one time. My questions and prayers were answered !

I received a bill for the whole visit minus my $20 copayment.
I have tried calling numerous times to ask why my visit was not covered and no one called me back. I called my insurance co and they said that Dr. Trivax does not take Oxford.

I called the office again and got the receptionist saying that RS of NY takes Oxford but Dr. Tricax may not. I did not wait for them to transfer me back to the same voicemail that I had left numerous messages on.

Why would a Dr that is in the practice not take the insurance that RS of NY does? I am just going to pay the stupid bill but I was curious.

Do not just pay the bill That would make me mad. Before I went for my intial consultation, I had already provided my insurance information to them. They let me know what oxford covered and didnt. This was all BEFORE my appointment. I would call RSofNY (Stony Brook) back and ask to speak with Danielle. She has been a saving grace to me with regard to insurance questions. I think they should be able to put his consultation under a different doctor or THEY should have to eat the bill if THEY gave you a doctor that is not particapting with oxford.

Call the office today in Stonybrook - 631-246-9100 and speak with Danielle, she is the finance person and she is there today, I saw her this morning.
She is very helpful and will help you straighten it out.
