Nervous about my chihuahua being spayed
Did anyone's small breed have any complications from getting such a small dog spayed? She is only around 4 pounds and I am afraid something terrible is going to happen while she is under anesthesia.

My Chi is a fatty (8lbs) so I wasn't worried about him but my sister has a full grown 2.8lb Chi and she was a little worried. The vet reassured her that all would be fine and they were right. They did a great job and she came home the very same day.

Go to a reputible Vet and talk to them about your fear.. I am sure they know what to say to you.. You are doing the best thing that little baby..
