What did and do you feed your Yorkies

My Brooklyn in on a diet that consist of Mighty Dog pureed with Water and Syrup. I was told he needed to be on this for 6 months. But not syre what you feed them afterwards.


So I am curious what did you feed them as a pup? And what do you feed them now? Also do you leave it out for a few hrs so they can pick on it? I also leave dry food out all day but I dont think he eats or picks at it much.

When we got Daisy from the breeder, she was eating soft food from a pouch. We took her to the Vet and he recommended a hard food - Iams. So, we transferred her over 3-4 days from the soft food to the hard food. Then, we noticed after about a year, she wasn't liking the Iams anymore, so we thought since she was 1, it was time to put her on a more adult food, so we used Merrick's Grammy Pot Pie, but Daisy got so sick off it, so the vet recommended we try Hill's Science Diet (purchased from the Vet) and she was on that up until recently when the Vet recommended a more holistic food by Purina that we purchase through his office and she gobbles that down.

Bruno was on a Nutro dry food which was left out 24-7.
Now he's on a new prescription diet because of health issues but if he wasn't he'd be sharing food with ......
Vito who is on a dry Wellness food.
I was lucky enough that they both only eat when they're hungry.

See, I wasnt too sure about this puree with syrup and water. I would like to feed him soft food and have th dry food out 24/7. I will ask my Vet when we bring him back for shots if I can just give him the wet food ro what she recommends.

He only picks at the wet food and I keep it out for like 2 hrs. BTW you both have cute doggies

Thanks, Vito (my darker guy) and Daisy are actually brother and sister.
