DH & I are thinking of going to Ocean City, MD this summer with friends. Neither of us has been there in about 10 years, but we both loved it. Our friends have never been.
Can anyone rec a hotel that is nice but not super expensive?
Also, any new must-sees/dos?

I would check on VRBO.com
its a site where people rent thier vacation homes out. My sorority sisters and I go down every year to the Wine Fest the end of Sept and rent a 3 bedroom condo....its about 1/2 a block off of the beach.

There is a Holiday inn Express that is clean and affordable.
Have fun! I hope to go again this year!
Macky's has the perfect spot to watch Sunset!

I went to school in salisbury...we went to OC a lot.
Definitely recommend renting a condo....I've rented from cbvactions.com, there is a lot of options. We've stayed in numerous places.
Must go to seacrets during the day, hang out in the water all day.
Mackys & Fagers Island is great for dinner and night life.
Definitely go down to the boardwalk.....there is some great people watching that can take place down there. (Make sure you get fishers popcorn!!)
Just hang out at the beach allllllllll day! & get a scopes done!! (pictures taken on the beach!)

i went there in aug of 2005 we had a great time.. the nightlife is great, the restaurants the beach everything about it we loved... going back again this summer... we stayed last time at the Clarion Resort Fontainebleau Hotel Ocean City it was a nice hotel very clean nice rooms.. the only thing i didnt like was it was only an indoor pool but we stayed at the beach the whole time and they have a bar/restuarant on the beach this time i think i want to stay closer to the boardwalk cuz we never made it there last time

Are you looking to be in the heart right on the boardwalk? there is a place called the carosel (sp?) that is wonderful but not on the boardwalk, but it's great b/c its across the street from thsi fun bar called the green turtle. and OC has a trolly/bus that goes up and down to take you to the board walk...it's just a little less hectic down at that place
