I am about to go run 13 miles...
and my back/glute is hurting big time again! Packing and moving boxes triggered this injury again.
Wish me luck the pain subsides during the run!

Good luck and take it easy. Hopefully the run will make your pulled muscle feel better

I just want to say 13 mi is my goal for the half marathon, and you just do this as a workout!

Sorry you are hurting today! Hope you were able to rest and feel better tomorrow.
I seriously need to get in gear and start a serious running regime again. Any tips?

Training for your first half is awesome...you will have a blast! Halfs are the perfect distance...long enough to get into a nice kadence but short enough that your body isn't completely taxed and in pain.
Good luck...I am so excited for you!

I am feeling better thanks! It's just a pain that is not subsiding and will probably last untill I take a good amount of time off. So grin and bear it is my motto these days.
As far as getting into a regimine. Start slow...make realistic goals and have a race or event to look forward to. I get bored without having a race to train for...so it keeps me going. Just don't over do it in the beginning or you'll get discouraged. Let me know if you have any specific questions, i would be happy to offer any advice I can from my own training experience.
