Did any1 go w/ u 4 your HSG?: update
I plan to go by myself bc DH has to work. He thinks I should have my mom go (she lives 2 hours away but offered to drive down for the day). I don't think it's a big deal if I go alone. What did u guys do?

2/6 2pm
I asked my parents to come down to Long Island and my mom took me to the appt this morning. Thank god she came. I got so sick----I was sooo dizzy and kept almost passing out. The dr didn't want to let me leave bc I was so pale and dizzy. It's been a few hours and I am so tired and still kind of dizzy. I am so glad it's over. To those of u who went alone (or were able to go about your day afterwards....) I really give u guys credit.

Everything was clear on mine, but I brought my DH w/ me and was glad that I did. I had some pretty strong cramping for about 30 mins afterwards and was more comfortable laying in the seat than I would've been driving. I know a lot of ppl go alone though.

I went by myself. The pain went away about 10 seconds after I felt it. I went back to work after.

I actually had two - well one regular HSG and another one that was done to clear one of my tubes that was blocked. I went by myself both times.
ETA: Actually the 2nd time DH met me there to take me home because they gave me a sedative (I forgot sorry).

I went alone and went back to work after..I had no residual cramping so it wasn't an issue for me.

I went alone and had it done during lunch. I went back to work. I had no problems and really didn't need anyone there.

DH went with me just in case I wasn't feeling well. Turns out I could've gone alone. Took 2 Advil about 30 minutes beforehand and was fine.

I brought my mother because DH had to work and he had just started a new job that week... I was actually glad I brought someone to drive me home because the pain lasted a little longer for me and I don't know if I could have driven home... Let me also say - I am extremely sensitive... Sometimes more so than the average person so knowing that about myself I made sure someone could go with me to drive me home.

When I had mine done, they told me I had to bring someone with me to drive me home because I may have bad cramping. My mom went with me, but it turns out I would have been fine to drive.

I went alone. The test itself hurt, but I have a blocked tube, so maybe that's why. But I was fine right after and drove home and went to work.

Sorry you got dizzy, but thank goodness you had the forthought to ask your mom to come down!
I went back to work afterwards (didn't want to abuse the day off!) the soreness (kinda like a 2day muscle burn after a workout?) was a bit off putting but bearable.
Hope you feel good tomorrow, have the advil standing by.

Do you have any shellfish allergies? You should not have had this bad of a reaction...I've heard of some cramping, but not dizziness or weakness...

I'm not allergic to anything. The dr said my reaction is pretty normal. I do tend to get dizzy at medical things. I just talked to my brother and he actually had the same reaction when his wife had this done....I guess it runs in the family! I feel a little better now but will def take it easy this weekend.
