working out?

I have been pretty sick most of the day and I think I feel worse b/c I haven't been working out. I need the strength, I think working out will make me feel less tired. any suggestions? I usually work out 4 times per week so this feels so weird.
I hate this feeling!

Re: working out?

I understand how you feel. Before the BFP I worked out 6 days a week (20 minutes of weight training and 30-40 minutes of cardio on those six days). I've decreased the intensity of the cardio, but even today I had a hard time getting through the workout. I felt so tired I had to call it quits at minute 20. Now I'm lounging on the couch and contemplating a nap.

Re: working out?

The first trimester was VERY hard for me. I usually go 5-6 days a week, after school (work). Well that stopped cold. I'd get into my car....and all I could think about was sleep. I honestly thought if I forced myself I'd be very happy about it afterwards but I couldn't muster the strength.

It gets better, hang in there!! Now that I have the strength, I don't have the time!Chat Icon That should change in a week though, so I plan on going back to ALMOST my original routine. I have been taking it very easy- light cardio, not as strenuous with the weights.

Re: working out?

i recently bought a prenatal yoga dvd which is actually really nice (i do it in addition to 3 miles of walking a day). you still get some of the strength training (though not intense, you're using your own body weight) and a good flexibility workout, but it's takes the fact the you're pregnant into consideration. it might be something good to do until you get your energy back (plus it's good for doing exercises that will help with labor, etc.)

i bought the crunch yoga mama workout and like it a lot.
