spinoff to $ hotel rooms- where do you want to go?

I added this to the original post, but it will probably get lost in there... Just curious where you'll all trying to go and when?
I'm looking to book a local hotel for a week. It will fall over Valentines Day so DH and I could use it, and it also fall over February break so I can take Ds swimming at the indoor pool.

If you know that you can't take a big trip anywhere, do what I did- or am trying to do. Book something local so you can use the ammenities. We've already booked our trip to Florida for June, so there's no point in booking another place we have to fly to and DH isn't going to take time off from work, so this was my best idea.

The 5 star that gives you several options of rooms. Obviously, we dont know if it will still be up when the promotion starts.
I think I had it up when I was on the video screen earlier today. The 4 star I think it said was the reef - so also atlantis.

I was going to try to get our resort in Cabo for March- since we've booked the flights, but haven't completely booked the resort yet. But, it's not available for the dates I want.

Now I'm thinking of booking something for my birthday in July.

I was thinking Chicago, Memphis or Punta Cana...or maybe something in driving distance...I have no idea.

I was VERY fortunate to book something.

The moment I learned of the special, I started researching places we always wanted to go -- and DH has a week off for my birthday.

In the end we chose London - for November - 7 nites - because we got the flight for the BOTH of us from JFK direct r/t -- $540 thru Delta because we used our miles to discount the trip.

We wanted Europe somewhere--and figured that London is central to take day trips to Paris and Ireland...so it worked out great.

The other places I considered were

Australia
Hawaii

but the filght would have been $$$$

I think you Atlantis girls may be inspiring me. I was going to try for local for Feb. break, now I'm thinking if I get lucky enough to be online at the right time, maybe I should just go for the Bahamas. Even if we only went for along weekend...
