IVM? Just saw it on the news..

In Vitro Maturation..on Channel 2 news..

the doctor take the unmatured eggs directly out of the ovaries and ripen them outside of the body, inseminate, and then transfer the embryos back. Alot less drugs are used..For women under 35, the chances of pregnancy are 45% on the first transfer.

It isn't being done everywhere, started in London and now being done in Chicago.

It will never be an option for me b/c of age and timing, but it sounds interesting, not having to take all the drugs.

wow..thats amazing what technology and research can do these days!

Edited to add that i had quickly searched IVF in india through some company called frontrunners...$1800 for IVF treatment there.

If they got a 70 yr old pregnant, i was going to India if i ever needed IVF.

You know, I was talking to a nurse practitioner a while back about this. This would be great, no need to worry about stimming! Wow, what a difference!
