Help with unrefrigerated follistim
Since I'm self pay Cornell gave me a box of donated follistim last week. Tonight I am supposed to start. Well I forgot that it is supposed to be refrigerated! It has been out for a week! What should I do? Use it tonight and then get a new prescription tomorrow?? The nurse didn't remind me to put it in the refrigerator. Do you think it would hurt to just take it tonight?

Re: Help with unrefrigerated follistim
I just found this online:
Storage: Store Follistim AQ Cartridge at room temperature for 90 days or refrigerate until expiration date. After initial use, medication can be stored refrigerated or unrefrigerated for a maximum of 28 days. Store Follistim AQ vials at room temperature for 90 days or refrigerate until expiration date. Protect from light, keep container in carton. Do not freeze.
I think I'm OK to use it....but what does everyone think?

Re: Help with unrefrigerated follistim
Ohhh! I can actually help here! I did this once! Follistim doesn't have to be refrigerated until the vial is pierced. Check out my angry post from August:
