Does being pregnant make you...
appreciate your mother even more? I think about all the sacrifices my mom made for me, not just the physical pain she went through to bring me to the world, but raising me and made sure I had a good childhood, and that I am happy. It makes me cry thinking about what a trouble maker I was growing up, she just put up with it.
(oh damn hormones!!)

Re: Does being pregnant make you...
DEFINATELY! I was and still am a pain in the arse lol....always sarcastic and when I was younger my Daddy and I used to really tease her( she has a different sense of humor then my daddy and I)...She also went thru 53 hours of labor with me and now that I am preggo I cannot imagine what I put her thru...and never thought I could love her more then I already did....I hope I am as close to my boys as I am to her.....O.K....emotional venting over!

Re: Does being pregnant make you...
I posted almost the exact same thing on parenting a few months ago ...My mom passed away when I was 23 , and I always think about what a PIA I was as a teen etc..., but I know that overall I turned out to be a good person, and she was the reason for it...My mom and I were very close even through it all , I just wish there were some things I coul d've done differently and other things I wish I was able to say to her that I never had the chance to...I definately appreciate all she'd done for me even more now that I am a parent and hopefully I am making her proud as one ...so hormones or not, you're not alone

I am sure she's extremely proud of the person and mother you've become.

I could have written this too. I lost my mom last month. I look back at my teen years and all the "tough love" and I hope and pray I can be the same way!
