Is anyone up? I need help
I am having a bad allergic reaction to something. Out of nowhere, I started wheezing and my eyes are puffy and itchy and my throat is itchy as well. I am totally congested and can't breathe out of my nose.
I am 6 weeks.
DH just went out to get me some Benedryl - is that safe to take? I didn't want to call my doctor - this doesn't seem call-worthy...
What can I do?

i would take half.
call a 24 hour pharmacy and ASK THEM....(that's what i always do when it's late night and i'm not sure)

www.cvs.com - you can do a search based on 24 hour pharmacies. VERY likely anyone near a hospital is 24 hours.

when you call - hi i'm currently 6 weeks pregnant and i'm having a bad allergic reaction to something. i wanted to know if taking benadryl will be okay until i can talk to my doctor tomorrow...
OR call your OB - they should have a 24 hour doctor on call...

i have been having searious intchiness my whole pregnancy. MY ob said i could take 1 bendaryl at nite to help me sleep. I would still run it past your ob but i was told it was fine for me

They said it was ok to take as a one-time thing, just not for like a week straight.
I feel so much better right now than I did when I posted. I don't know what the hell hit me!

Just to be on the safe side, I am taking half of a children's pill. It already has half the active ingredient in it than the adult formula.

Benadryl is on my Dr's safe list.
Before getting PG, I suffered from chronic hives and sometimes 5 benadryl wouldn't do anything for me... now if i start to see some hives, i take 1 pill and they're gone in 30 mins
in fact, i just took one tonight. So whyyy am i still awake?!

My doc said Benadryl was ok for all three Trimesters. I had to take a couple of times for my severe allergies and was fine Just take one pill.
