Would you call the doctor?
I am about 30 weeks and today, my ankles/feet are VERY swollen. I also noticed that my rings are stuck on my fingers I have had swelling for the past few weeks, but today, it's pretty bad. I am a teacher and am on my feet all day, which obviously doesn't help the situation. I'm not sure if I should call the doctor or if he's just going to say stay off my feet and drink lots of water.

Re: Would you call the doctor?
When is your next appointment?
I would probably call the Dr., they may want to do a BP check and check your urine for protein if you are that swollen.

Re: Would you call the doctor?
If you press on your ankles or calves, do you leave an indent? Also does the color change back quickly?

Re: Would you call the doctor?
My next appointment is Wednesday. My blood pressure thank goodness is just fine. When I press on the swelling, I don't get an indent. Ugh, the joys of pregnancy!

Re: Would you call the doctor?
I had severe swelling starting at 29 weeks. I never called the doctor about it. I just spoke to him/her at each appointment. I had high blood pressure during the 3rd trimester too and ended up being put on bedrest and then induced 2 weeks early. Just try to take it easy. Stay of your feet as much as possible and keep them elevated above your heart. Avoid salty foods and drink a lot of water. You may want to talk to your doctor about compression stockings. They're pricey, but they helped my swelling and circulation.
